This site is dedicated to adventure.
Adventure is experience. It can be anything. Maybe it’s a singular event such as a dream trip to Italy or an Eric Clapton concert. Maybe it’s a stage-of-life thing like helping a friend battle cancer, taking your oldest child on a college tour, or walking your daughter down the aisle. It could be learning to make bread from scratch, taking a graphic design course, or writing a screenplay.
I chose to focus on “after 40” because, well, I’m “after 40” and it makes sense. And it gives this site a very broad landscape to explore and, hopefully, many years to explore it.
At first, I wanted to write solely about travel because I think I have some things to share. Now — after that aforementioned dream trip to Italy — I want this space to be more about life’s adventures. Those adventures could certainly be found along the cliffs of the Cinque Terre. But they can also be discovered in our back yard gardens or while listening to our grandfathers’ stories.
